About Nicholson-Hardie Nursery
Nicholson-Hardie Nursery is a garden center in Dallas, Texas. It is listed at 5060 W Lovers Ln, Dallas, TX 75209, which places it among the local businesses of Dallas that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

Dallas is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Dallas is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

My husband and I are from San Antonio and were visiting Highland Park for a wedding when we stopped by this store. Unfortunately, our first impression was disappointing. We asked where the tomato seeds were, and the employee immediately launched into a lecture about how it was too late in the season and too hot for tomatoes to grow. We tried multiple times to explain that we were looking to grow them in an indoor hydroponic system, but he continued talking over us. (For context, my husband is an engineer who has built multiple hydroponic systems.) We appreciate expertise, but good customer service means listening first and asking questions before making assumptions. Gardening today is not limited to traditional outdoor methods, and a more welcoming approach would have made a big difference.

Love this nursery! It's great to find eucalyptus plants here instead of just cut flowers.

i just deleted a very negative review i wrote. i got a text from the person who lives in the house we used to live in and said i had a plant delivered from nicholson hardie. i was confused so gave her my new address and she brought it to me. i was so surprised! The manager, Sam, did the kindest most heartfelt thing. The plant is beautiful and wrote me a note apologizing for barbara, an employee there, that was so rude to me. I donβt think anyone has ever done that. All the other employees there are so kind and Sam is a one of a kind. What a great example of an amazing manager. i will be back bc of her! Thank you so muchβ¦ goes to show.. there are kind and caring ppl out there!

Great variety of plants/trees. Exceptionally courteous and knowledgeable staff. Clinton knew exactly where the trees I was looking for (Cercis Canadensis, "Forest Pansy Redbud" ) were located among the Garden Center's stock. He also knew the varities of the species and showed me a beautiful varigated variety. Worth a visit. Parking difficult.

Great Nursery ππΌππΌππΌ Organized! Easy to find what we want. And they have tons of rose varieties ! Most of roses from Weeks Roses and some of antique rose from Antique Rose Emporium. And they are all in a great condition. We found some varieties we are looking for: Distant Drums and Stainless Steel.
